Since Zip Car’s conception 1999 it has taken an estimated 25,000 cars off the road becoming the country’s largest car sharing company.  Zip car has over  70,000 memebers who utilize the 2000 cars in Zip cars fleet, 10 percent of them being hybrids.  Zip car members report cutting their driving time by 50% saving not only themselves money by but saving the environment by cutting back on car emissions going into the environment.
